Approach to tutoring
Jacob strongly believes in a healthy balance of structured and ‘impromptu’ learning and teaching styles. He provides students opportunities to learn important content through more conventional techniques, that pay off during assessment and examination, while also being open for less structured discussion and learning that enrich understanding beyond the course. Jacob challenges his students constantly as a means to provide the best guidance and opportunities for them to test their knowledge, and in doing so, learn the critical lessons ahead of their peers. He understands that tutoring serves practical goals first and foremost and is dedicated to providing the correct support, lessons and feedback that bring students to their academic goals.
